Compensation and Benefits:
The wage being offered is $28.00 to $32.00 an hour. Our excellent benefit options and generous paid time off after just 30 days are hard to beat!
Key Responsibilities Include:
Employee Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns, fostering positive employee relations across the organization.
- Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and conducting investigations as needed.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-conscious workplace culture.
- Assisting the Director of Human Resources
- Provide direct support to the Director of Human Resources in various HR initiatives and administrative duties.
- Collaborate on implementing HR policies and programs that align with company goals.
- Assist with marketing/branding efforts for recruiting sites and the company career page.
- Assist with handling employee investigations.
- Facilitating and handling HRIS system settings and Software Cases.
Benefits Administration
- Oversee benefits enrollment, open enrollment, benefits reporting, and census management with Lockton.
- Manage integration file builds, revisions, and updates as needed.
Workers Compensation
- Manage OSHA 300/300A reporting, file workers’ compensation incidents with SAIF, and handle claims management with SAIF.
- Unemployment: Manage responses and filings for unemployment claims.
Safety Committee Liaison:
- Provide management and support for the company’s Safety Committee.
Employee Leave Management
- Manage and facilitate both paid and unpaid employee leaves.
Technical Support
- Assist with problem-solving, system failures, and system revisions and updates.
Documentation Management
- Oversee employee communication, document compliance, employee files, and notices.
- Manage weekly employee updates and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
General HR Support
- Create, plan, and conduct HR system training as needed. Manage ACA compliance and ACA reporting.
- Ensure census compliance with state and federal government requirements.
- Assist with general HR administrative duties, including updating employee records and handling paperwork.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Clear understanding of HR best practices, employee paid and unpaid leave regulations in Oregon and Washington, employee relations, and HR systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees at all levels. High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to update and revise HR systems as needed.
