What are the responsibilities and job description for the TPA Relations Coordinator position at Principal Financial Group?
We’re looking for a TPA Relations Coordinator to establish and maintain effective relationships with Third Party Administrator (TPA) Firms ! In this role, you'll serve as a point of contact for TPA firms and provide technical assistance and marketing best practices of key services to assist in the completion of their day to day activities. In addition, you'll market new services and processes to TPAs to increase satisfaction with the Principal Financial Group and participate in projects and workgroups providing expertise on TPA
- Provide service to existing TPA firms via phone, email, and web conferences. Encourage use of our company products and services to build and retain TPA block business, while ensuring a consistent message about our capabilities. Assist in identifying solutions that meet a TPA firm’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Participate in meetings with Retirement plan service representatives, marketers, and TPAs, and present a professional image of the company.
- Identify case specific situations and collaborate with client facing service team for resolution, identify training needs to partner with leaders for continuing education, and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties.
- Assist new and existing TPAs in maximizing use of technology through completion of walk through demonstrations of our technology and web tools, including initial set up and introduction to our service model

Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 8 years
- 2 years of related work experience
- Excellent customer service and relationship building skills required.
- Business unit knowledge.
- Must have problem solving and analytical skills.
- Requires basic computer and business unit software skills
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$20.84 - $39.81 / hour
Time Off Program
Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
