As a Parts Manager, you will play a vital role in leading a dynamic team of professionals to support retail, wholesale, and internal customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage monthly schedules for department associates.
- Oversee and maintain inventory levels in line with industry standards.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for the department's financial activities.
- Implement and enforce guidelines for managing aged inventory.
- Manage returns and warranty processes in compliance with manufacturer policies.
- Accurately bill all commercial accounts.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the performance of department staff.
- Set and adjust inventory levels to maximize efficiency and turnover.
- Ensure all parts are properly labeled and organized.
- Monitor monthly sales, expenses, and inventory to achieve profit targets.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure timely parts availability for internal jobs.
- Establish and uphold procedures to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a system to track lost sales for future analysis.
Key Qualifications include:
- Previous management experience is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in parts management, with at least 3 years in a dealership environment.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software
- A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and working effectively within a team.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a customer-focused mindset.
- The ability to handle day-to-day supervisory duties, such as managing sales staff, maintaining inventory, and handling operational records.
- Proactively notify relevant team members and customers when special order parts arrive.
- Alert management about out-of-stock parts or materials requiring immediate action.
- Drive team and department performance by consistently meeting or exceeding key operational metrics.
