What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wide Web Flexographic Plate Mounter - Day shift position at Print Pro Inc.?
Print Pro, Inc is looking for an experienced plate mounter to add to its team. The right candidate should have knowledge of flexographic mounting tapes, photopolymer plates, and printing cylinders. This is a pre-press department that prepares the printing plates for wide-web flexographic printing presses that print up to 10 colors. Large plates are mounted onto sleeves to be installed into the press.
Job Duties:
- Lay mounting tape, and mount print plates as directed by department coordinator
- Strip and clean sleeves
- Accurately identify printing plates, sleeves, and other materials to perform job with 100% accuracy
- Clean, organize, and sustain the department as directed by department lead
- Interpret and understand sleeve conflicts and press compatibilities
- Flexibility to cover on presses as work demands change
- Flexibility to work other hours as needed including emergency weekend coverage is required
- Accurately maintain a detailed time log
Position Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of flexographic printing experience preferred
- Previous press operator experience preferred
- Intermediate math skills preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to complete tasks as assigned on time
