Job Summary:

The Healthcare Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. They play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, managing front office operations, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Check-In/Out:

    • Verify patient information and insurance details

    • Schedule and confirm appointments

    • Distribute and collect new patient paperwork

  • Phone and Communication Management:

    • Answer and direct incoming phone calls

  • Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system

    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails

    • File and scan documents as needed

    • Monitor the front desk area for cleanliness and organization

  • Insurance and Billing Support:

    • Assist in verifying insurance coverage and pre-authorizations

    • Work with billing staff to ensure accurate documentation

  • Compliance and Confidentiality:

    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations

    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Prior experience in a medical  office preferred

  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems ( we will guide you )

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
