Job Summary:
The Healthcare Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. They play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, managing front office operations, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Check-In/Out:
Verify patient information and insurance details
Schedule and confirm appointments
Distribute and collect new patient paperwork
Phone and Communication Management:
Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Administrative Duties:
Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
File and scan documents as needed
Monitor the front desk area for cleanliness and organization
Insurance and Billing Support:
Assist in verifying insurance coverage and pre-authorizations
Work with billing staff to ensure accurate documentation
Compliance and Confidentiality:
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
✅ Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Prior experience in a medical office preferred
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems ( we will guide you )
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
