Job Summary
The Director of Strategy and Business Development leads strategic initiatives to drive census growth and expand business opportunities. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, this role involves close collaboration with facility Administrators, Marketing Directors, Physicians, Hospitals, and Company Leadership. Key responsibilities include developing innovative strategies, fostering partnerships, and overseeing the performance of Marketing and Admissions teams to meet or exceed census and admission goals.
Major Job Functions
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve census growth and meet budgetary goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and implement growth strategies with measurable outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and develop Marketing/Admissions teams to ensure compliance and performance excellence.
- Monitor census performance, forecast trends, and maintain adherence to the budget.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to foster strategic partnerships, including managed care relationships.
- Ensure adherence to all State, Federal, and Company regulations and policies.
- Provide timely, detailed performance updates to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the RVP.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in long-term care.
- At least 3 years of experience in healthcare marketing, management, or hospice care operations.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
- Proven track record of driving business growth and maintaining client relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and time management skills.
- Expertise in data analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Proficient in creating and delivering impactful reports and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to scale processes and infrastructure to support organizational growth.
- High integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
