We’re seeking a motivated and technically skilled IT Specialist to join and contribute to our Digital team. The team’s work centers around the website, web application development and internal system operations. This position plays a key role in managing systems like document and expense management tools, contributing to development tasks on our website and internal web-based applications, and collaborating on backlog items in a Scrum-based environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both system admin and hands-on development support capacities.
This role will be involved in everything from evaluating bug fixes and system changes to maintaining workflows, developing documentation, assisting in testing efforts, and providing internal technical support. You’ll also contribute to exciting future initiatives involving artificial intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA), and new platform development. Key Responsibilities:
Application & Project Involvement:
- Participate in the design, development, and support of internal web applications and enterprise tools
- Contribute to backlog refinement, user stories, and requirements documentation
- Assist with testing new functionality (user acceptance testing – UAT), evaluating bug fixes, and validating user workflows
Perform data tasks, including:
- Querying and analyzing data via Excel or databases (i.e., SQL)
- Perform data migration, transformation, and cleansing tasks across systems
- Auditing and validating data across internal systems and websites
System Administration & Support:
- Maintain and support key internal systems such as the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), Travel Reimbursement, and other Collaboration and Productivity software
- Conduct market research and make recommendations regarding new systems/solutions for the organization, when needed
- Support future initiatives including administration of closed AI chatbot solutions and automation tools
Documentation & Training:
- Create and maintain technical and user-facing documentation, including how-to guides, workflow diagrams, and training resources
- Support training sessions and provide user assistance across departments, including, onboarding of staff
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, propose solutions, and help make informed decisions that reflect organizational goals and technical limitations
- Collaborate within a Scrum-based team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting team members
Coordinate and support project work, including:
- Collaborate on routine system or process improvement projects
- Assisting senior specialists with complex development initiatives
- Logging and tracking support tickets; assisting in bug triage and resolution
Provide backup support for technical roles as needed and contribute to broader IT initiatives.
