Job Summary
To provide direct patient care and patient education for fitting, measuring and dispensing of custom fabricated, prefabricated, off-the-shelf orthotic devices and other DME equipment and supplies. Participates in 24 / 7 on-call coverage.

Accountabilities
- Provides fitting, measuring, and dispensing of custom fabricated, prefabricated, and off-the-shelf orthotic devices and soft goods including upper and lower body, spine, and ambulatory aids. - 50%
- Provides patient / caregiver education for usage, maintenance, and care of the orthoses. - 20%
- Ensures timely collection of physician prescriptions, patient demographics, insurance information, and medical records for billing purposes. - 15%
- Assists in scheduling patient appointments for initial fittings and follow-up visits in the Equipped For Life office. - 5%
- Assists in stocking and maintenance of appropriate inventories of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and orthoses. - 5%
- Acts as liaison between clinical staff and billing staff to ensure proper documentation for insurance to determine medical necessity. - 5%
