Medical Assistant – Front & Back Office
Private Practice Cardiology, Pulmonology, Internal Medicine, and Nephrology - Beverly Hills, CA 90211
Immediately seeking a skilled Medical Assistant for a busy medical practice in Beverly Hills, CA. We are looking for a highly motivated, personable individual with excellent communication skills who can contribute to the continued success and growth of our practice.
Must have recent medical office experience. Must be a fast learner, able to multi-task, successfully resolve patient issues, and computer literate. Must be familiar with HIPAA regulations and EHR , preferably CS-Link (EPIC) and DrChrono
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic clinical, clerical and technical supportive services.
- Assist with the care and treatment of patients by assessing vital signs, obtaining relevant medical history, medication reconciliation, giving immunizations/injections, performing EKGs, Holter Monitor hook up, performing venipuncture, completing lab requisitions and preparing lab specimens for pick up. Update all patient information in EHR
- Obtain Pre-Authorization for procedures and medication; insurance verifications
- Assist clinic flow by keeping healthcare provider and other staff apprised of scheduling needs and by monitoring the reception area.
- Keep exam rooms stocked, supplied, and clean.
- Front office administration; answering phones; triage calls, appropriate message taking, review and respond to all voicemail, email, and fax messages, schedule appointments and imaging, maintain appropriate schedules for all providers
- Maintain Financial Policy; collect co-pays, deductibles, and patient balances at time of service
- Perform other duties as assigned by provider or office manager.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Experience (1year mandatory, 2 years preferred)
- Obtaining Medical/Medication Pre-authorizations (1 year preferred)
- Computer literate.
- EHR experience
- Phlebotomy/Venipuncture (1-year mandatory)
Required Education:
- High School or equivalent. College degree preferred.
- Successful completion of Accredited Medical Assistant Program.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Current CPR and First Aid Certified.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Job Type: Full-time – Monday – Friday, Dedicated to 40 hours/week Office Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
