What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Coordinator position at Privately-Held Company?
Our Company manufactures and sells high-end custom-built products to upscale clients who are accustomed to receiving top notch treatment.
A high percentage of our sales are through returning customers and referrals. As such, our core strategy centers on customer satisfaction. As coordinator, you will be tasked with the critical responsibility of ensuring customer satisfaction by coordinating shipping, delivery, and final installation.
Full Time Position
Hours: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm
Core Skills Needed:
· Problem Solver – As our sphere of expertise covers custom creations, fresh challenges are a daily occurrence, requiring a fresh yet practiced approach to arrive at the best solutions.
· Flexible Communicator – You will need to communicate well with clients, their assistants, designers, architects, builders, shippers, and installers. Internally you will work closely with the office staff, designers, the production floor crew, and upper management. You must act as both a coordinator and peacemaker communicating eloquently both verbally, and through correspondence to achieve optimum success.
· Organization – To keep appointment dates, clients, shipments, etc. in order you will need to have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to keep all the details in order.
· No Ego – To perform your duties effectively, it is essential that you have the ability to tackle each challenge with evenhanded clear-cut dedication.
· Computer Competence – The majority of your coordinating is managed either directly through in-house software. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software will allow you to maximize your utilization of available information.
· Light Technical Support – A portion of your work will require you to give clients technical support for a few standard questions we receive on a regular basis.
· Accounts Receivable – The majority of our clients are paid in full when the product leaves our facility, but there are some accounts that will need to be invoiced and followed up on.

· Customer Related Responsibilities
o Email Correspondence – There is a respectable portion of email exchanges involved in this position. You’ll be expected to quickly formulate detailed and grammatically effective responses and queries.
o Coordinating Customer installations - A large portion of our products require commercial or often residential installations. Our clients are very busy people who run busy households and expect premium service. Your delicate duty is to function as the coordinator between the owners of these homes (or their house manager) and the installer to ensure a smooth installation with a highly satisfied customer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business or related field…or multiple years of applied industry experience in a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a cross function of people and influence multiple stake holders internally and externally
- Project planning & organization skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
