Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Davenport machines for the production of various fasteners and specialized products according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Select and procure appropriate materials and tooling required for each job.
- Perform minor adjustments to machinery and oversee functions such as coolant flow to ensure optimal operations.
- Utilize precision measuring and gauging tools to inspect parts during production runs, ensuring compliance with specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain accurate production records, data entry for piece counts, and overall housekeeping standards.
- Report any major malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors to ensure continuous production efficiency.
- Follow all 5S procedures to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Minimum of five years of recent experience operating Davenport machinery, with a preferred minimum of ten years of experience.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and managing key process parameters.
- Skilled in using precision measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers for inspections.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Analytical mindset and technical proficiency related to manufacturing procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Proven track record of experience in multi-spindle screw machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to perform inspections and minor maintenance on machinery as needed.
