Acumen Health Holdings, a rapidly expanding Eye Health Solutions platform encompassing PRN Vision Group, EyePromise, Avenova, EyeEcho, Doctors Advantage and Cliradex brands is looking for an energetic, driven and action-oriented strategic National Accounts Manager to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will be passionate about partnering with customers to improve patient health outcomes through our comprehensive OTC Eye Health Solutions platform. The National Account Manager (NAM) will develop growth initiatives in current groups and retailers while sourcing new relationships with:
- Private Equity Backed Practice Groups
- Optometric Alliances
- National Chains
- Retail Outlets
- Other large organizations
This highly strategic position requires a unique skill set including the ability to identify growth opportunities, ability to think critically and make data driven decisions, independently create and develop relationships and leverage connections to fuel growth. The NAM maintains and expands relationships with strategically important customers across the country and works to execute tactical plans aligning with the overarching strategic growth plan. They will work alongside the VP of sales to develop individual growth strategies for groups while also working through our geographically dispersed sales team to drive in-office program adoption.
Ideal candidates will have a background in sales along with experience working with complex multi-location practice groups with matrix organizational structures. The NAM will engage groups at all levels ranging from C-Suite Business Leaders, Vendor Relations, Finance, Procurement, Chief Medical Officers, Individual Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, Technicians and Staff Members to drive growth through strategic initiatives.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Implement strategic account planning process establishing performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
- Lead in-office education and training to increase doctor and staff knowledge base resulting in increased product recommendations, patient conversions and improved outcomes.
- Meet quarterly and yearly growth goals by meeting objectives with a sense of urgency.
- Effectively communicate brand messages including product information.
- Attend local, regional and national trade shows, exhibits, dinner programs, and other presentations, some of which occur on weekends.
- Develop content, plans and programs and present value proposition to a variety of stakeholders (C suite, OD’s, staff, etc.)
- Frequently travel overnight to meet with current and prospective customers (estimated at 60% per month).
- Develop and implement ideas and tactics to increase product awareness resulting in sales growth and value-added customer experience.
- Engage customers and staff remotely by utilizing webinar and video conferencing training programs.
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts.
- Coordinate involvement of company personnel, including Area Sales Managers, Regional Account Managers, and management resources to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Identify and report observed challenges and works with Vice President Sales to develop and implement solutions to drive practice success with EyePromise products.
- Use SalesForce and PowerBI software to manage customer interactions and monitor sales progress.
- Effectively establish and implement Best Practices to maximize customer growth and profitability while supporting existing customers in a strategic and targeted manner.
- Utilize time management & organizational skills and manage expenses by accomplishing objectives within budget.

Physical demands: Ability to carry a briefcase, laptop, MPOD device, support materials, exhibit kit, etc. up to 40 pounds. Employee must be willing to travel via commercial air carriers, over the road, and willing to conduct overnight business travel.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- Demonstrated success growing large, multi-location accounts
- Strong consideration given to candidates with previous healthcare or supplements experience
- Knowledge of the Eye Care industry is a plus
- 5 years of experience in an outside field sales role
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proven experience building relationships and influencing key external customers
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and possess a driven personality capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering them on-time and on-budget
- Big picture orientation with attention to detail
- Strong ability to think critically and analytically; ability to use data to develop and support decisions
- Strong organizational and project management skills in a team environment
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- High proficiency in the MS Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and CRM (preferably Salesforce). Experience with PowerBI a plus.
