What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Specialist position at Pro-Active Engineering?
The IT Specialist works with the IT Administrator to diagnose computer problems, monitor computer processing systems, and install software, and performs tests on computer equipment and programs.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- General awareness of computer systems and PC repair.
- Ability to deploy, configure, and support operating systems and company backup systems.
- Understanding and appreciation for general information security within systems and user devices.
- Monitor and respond in a timely manner through the IT Ticketing System to incoming requests relate to IT issues.
- Maintain user PCs, including upgrades and configuration as needed.
- Assist with onboarding of new users.
- Follow / create / update written procedures and work instruction documentation.
- Install, configure, and upgrade PC software.
- Ability to troubleshoot networked computers, printers, and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues. Willingness to learn the more high-end IT issues.
