What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineering Technician position at Pro-Active Engineering?
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician produces and completes manufacturing documentation and stencils and ensures processes are in place within the appropriate time frame. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create manufacturing documents to be used for the completion of electronic assemblies
- Assist in the defining and improving of the manufacturing documentation system.
- Serve as a manufacturing technician.
- Maintain ECN and ECR processes.
- Assist quoting and purchasing with alternate and substitute part/package solutions. Research part equivalent replacements.
- Provide technical support for testers and failed electronic assembly.
- Provide technical services for engineering department as necessary.
- Coordinate test development.
- Perform backups for manufacturing equipment.
- Serve as a liaison between manufacturing and sales/engineering department and department personnel.
- Communicate with customers on technical issues as needed.

Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years of electronic manufacturing experience.
