Video Editor Intern

Pro Hoops is a New York City-based basketball training company, dedicated to providing athletes with high-quality training and engaging content that reflects our passion for the game. We’re looking for a motivated Video Editor Intern who understands basketball as well as short-form content and is excited to grow in a creative, sports-focused environment.

As a Video Editor Intern, you’ll help transform long-form footage into engaging short videos that captivate our audience. You’ll work closely with our content team to create highlight reels and social media videos, bringing Pro Hoops’ storytelling to life on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

Responsibilities

• Edit 30-minute training and event videos into engaging 15-second highlight reels.
• Create short-form content that appeals to basketball fans and reflects Pro Hoops’ brand style.
• Work with the content team to understand project goals and contribute fresh ideas.
• Stay updated on trends in social media content and editing to keep our videos current.
• Manage and organize video files for easy access and future use.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and passion for basketball; ability to recognize key moments that make for exciting content.
• Proven experience creating short-form highlight reels (portfolio preferred).
• Understanding of short-form content creation and social media trends.
• Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Based in New York City or willing to work remotely with flexibility.
• Open-minded, authentic and eager to grow within a creative team environment.
