Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup and Programmer to join our team of 13. We value collaboration, have a great working environment, and have competitive benefits. We are a great place to work, but have you to be able to do the work. We will absolutely ask you to take a drawing, take some material, and setup a HAAS machine for an operator as part of the interview process. We will absolutely watch you take a simple part and start programming. You do not have to be a wizard, but if you start clicking around in Solidworks like you got all your training from a 2 hour Youtube video, this is not the job for you. We work on production parts, and also in-house ideas. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC machines, and also optimizing the operations of the shop.
Duties
- Read, interpret, and create blueprints and drawings to specifications
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as HAAS ST25Y lathes and HAAS VF5 mills
- Review and optimize shop operations based upon job schedules
- Plan existing programs to optimize speeds and feeds
- Use CAD and CAM (preferably SolidWorks and MasterCAM) software to program machine tools
- Help with machine upkeep and shop tidiness.
- Teach others
Requirements
- Proficiency in CNC machining operations
- Experience with SolidWorks and MasterCAM software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for machining accuracy
- Competency in using hand tools, power tools, and milling machines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
