We are a growing company seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. This role will oversee billing processes and assist in maintaining financial accuracy and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Billing Clerk and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Conduct consistent audits on processed invoices and billing queues.
- Visit UPS store on Mondays and Thursdays to check for mail and packages.
- Request Certificates of Insurance (COI) from our insurance company.
- Fulfill customer requests for COIs and W-9 forms.
- Process cash, check, and ACH payments efficiently and accurately.
- Print and voucher all vendor bills, including credit card charges and NET vendors.
- Communicate with customers regarding invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Send past due billing statements and follow up with customers to determine payment status.
- Maintain detailed records of payments and account statuses.
- Verify and reconcile billing information with work orders and service reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing of customers.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments.
- Maintain up-to-date customer records, including billing information.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding billing and collections.
- Communicate with clients regarding payment statuses on their accounts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in billing or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Experience with financial reconciliations and audits is a plus.
