The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. They oversee marketing campaigns, retail activations, digital content, social media, public relations, and influencer partnerships while ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. This role involves managing budgets, analyzing market trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading a high-performing marketing team. With a strong focus on innovation and ROI, the Director of Marketing plays a pivotal role in shaping brand identity and driving long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning – Develop and execute comprehensive brand marketing strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring consistency and cohesion across all channels.
  • Retail Event Activations & Trade Shows – Lead a marketing team in planning, coordinating, and executing retail events and trade shows to enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and engage customers.
  • Web Content Creation – Oversee the development of compelling web content that resonates with the target audience and strengthens brand identity.
  • Social Media Management – Direct social media strategy, content creation, and community management to build brand awareness, foster engagement, and drive advocacy.
  • Influencer Marketing & Seeding – Establish and manage relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors to expand brand reach and generate authentic engagement.
  • Public Relations – Lead PR initiatives to secure media coverage, manage press relations, and enhance brand reputation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with senior leadership, sales, and merchandising teams to align brand marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Budget Management – Optimize brand marketing budgets to maximize ROI and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership – Mentor and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in brand marketing with a proven track record of successful campaigns and strategies.
  • Experience in licensed apparel or sports marketing is a plus but not required.
  • Event production experience preferred, with an understanding of major sports, cultural, and retail events.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Results-driven with a focus on measurable impact and ROI.
