The Measurement Technician Will Be Responsible For
- Having basic knowledge of field measurement
- Experience with flow computer configuration software
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of or familiarity with AGA/GPA Gas Measurement Guidelines, BLM and COGCC regulatory requirements.
- Experience in basic troubleshooting of automation and electrical gas measurement equipment
- Calibration and maintenance of electronic gas flow measurement devices
- Operation and maintenance of a portable gas chromatograph (GC)
- Schedule, conduct, report and perform gas calibration and sampling tests
- Order, receive and stock parts associated with metering equipment
- Perform calculations for optimal orifice plate sizes
- Ability to respond to call out requests and work irregular hours as needed for maintenance or emergency situations
- Witness gas calibrations and gas analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Qualifications
-5 years gas measurement experience with working knowledge of gas/oil production equipment with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors & the public
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and be able to respond to call outs as need to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant conditions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment.
- Able to work in close quarters i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Experience
Experience in designing, programing, Calibrating, and troubleshooting along with field installation of Emerson RTU-ROC800/107/ABB Total flow/Scada Pak. Allen Bradley/IDEC/ Prosoft experience is a plus and highly desirable. Experienced in calibrating and making changes on various other RTU and PLC platforms
Reporting Structure
The Measurement Technician will report to the Measurement Foreman.
