What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at PRO TRANS INTERNATIONAL?
Note the weekly schedule for this role is Wednesday through Sunday 8am to 5pm and is located in Chattanooga, TN.
Summary:
This position will be responsible for a customer’s overall transportation network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure there is a carrier infrastructure in place to support the customer’s supply chain.
Work closely to validate data.
Initiate and implement cost savings programs.
Work on-site with client to accomplish goals.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation or related field with five to ten years experience in automotive transportation.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before a group of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. The ability to apply statistical techniques to shipment and delivery data is required.
Wednesday through Sunday 8am to 5pm.
