Pro Action’s Head Start Program is accepting applications for Classroom Support Staff in our Stewart Park Classroom.
The Support Staff position is a full-time, 10-month (school year calendar) position that is eligible for benefits that include health insurance and a retirement plan with employer contributions, generous paid time off, and several paid holidays.
As a Classroom Support Staff, you are a valued member of the classroom team working with young children and building strong relationships with families. You will have direct, daily interaction with children and assist with implementing classroom and small group activities. You will work to maintain a clean and safe classroom environment and be involved in the preparation and/or serving of meals and snacks for children.
A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license and consistent, reliable transportation are required for these positions.
In carrying out all responsibilities, the Classroom Support Staff must adhere to Head Start Performance Standards and New York State Day Care Regulations.
