Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:
Financial Management
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for clients.
Client Relations
- Serve as the primary financial contact for assigned clients, addressing their financial needs and providing expert advice.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and financial challenges.
- Prepare and present financial reports and insights to clients, helping them make informed business decisions.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist clients in developing budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to clients, offering recommendations for improvement.
- Tax Preparation and Compliance
- Prepare and review tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Internal Controls & Audits
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard client assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on client service.
Compensation
- Base range, dependent on experience, $100,000-$120,000
