Job Summary
Provide administration and support for all aspects of the ProActive Solutions (PAS) and ProCleaning Solutions (PCS) employee payroll and benefits programs. Stay up to date on ADA and ERISA laws and compliance requirements.
Work effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization, as well as with benefit providers and other external contacts as required. Maintain high standards of confidentiality. Coordinate and/or conduct daily activities to achieve department goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Be accountable for the PAS and PCS payrolls ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll and updates.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Maintain electronic employee files making sure files contain correct documentation.
2. Be accountable for the administration of the company-wide benefits programs, working closely with the broker and other HR staff. This includes, but is not limited to, medical, dental, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and HRA.
- Employee enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Benefit records and documentation as required.
- Update benefit handbook, policies, and plans as needed.
- Conduct benefit training for employees and/or managers as required.
3. Be accountable for the Annual Open Enrollment process for PAS and PCS. Work with management and benefit brokers to develop benefit options offered for the upcoming Plan Year.
- Prepare and distribute effective education, communication, and enrollment information for employees.
- Determine ACA FT eligibility for employees as measured during the ongoing measurement period. Offer benefits as required.
- Coordinate timely, accurate benefit enrollment with Payroll and benefit plan providers.
- Assist with open enrollment employee meetings as deemed appropriate.
4. Assist with managing compensation administration and grade-level analysis for senior leadership.
- Analyze information required to perform the job including knowledge, skills, mental effort, interpersonal skills, leadership, etc., to determine grade level. Perform benchmarking and compensation analysis.
5. Assist with employee issues and participate in employee disciplinary meetings.
- Implement and enforce all personnel policies and procedures to achieve compliance
6. Help coordinate employee relations events and/or processes
7. Maintains good communication with your direct supervisor and other managers regarding employees and work-related situations.
8. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
9. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
10. Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace. Support company safety goals and follow safety policies and procedures. Immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of your own ability and report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 2-3 years of experience in payroll required
- Expertise in payroll best practices and current regulations.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality and perform quality work within deadlines without supervision.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments, under stressful conditions.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
