The Director of Planning plays a crucial part in orchestrating strategic planning, ensuring efficient production schedules, optimizing the supply chain for our rapidly growing portfolio, and ensuring that the Manufacturing teams understand the production requirements to meet delivery goals.

What You’ll Do
The Director of Planning plays a crucial part in orchestrating strategic planning, ensuring efficient production schedules, optimizing the supply chain for our rapidly growing portfolio, and ensuring that the Manufacturing teams understand the production requirements to meet delivery goals.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans for manufacturing operations, aligning with overall company objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate business goals into actionable plans for the manufacturing department.
- Lead the quarterly S&OP Process to increase transparency cross-functionally collaboration and drive alignment operationally
- Production Scheduling:
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the production plan, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely delivery of products.
- Work closely with production teams to balance demand and capacity effectively.
- Supply Chain Optimization:
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to enhance material sourcing, procurement, and distribution processes.
- Implement strategies to minimize lead times, manage and optimize inventory levels, and ensure a responsive and efficient supply chain.
- Forecasting and Demand Planning:
- Lead the development of accurate demand forecasts based on market trends, sales data, and other relevant factors.
- Work cross-functionally to align production plans with sales forecasts and inventory requirements.
- Coordinate and map out requirements for successful introduction of New Products
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the planning and production functions, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement performance metrics and regularly analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster strong collaboration between planning, production, and other cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on production status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, business, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in a planning or operations leadership role within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of production planning, supply chain management, and demand forecasting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
