What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at ProCare Rx?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the hiring process; full cycle recruitment and retention. Collaborate and partner with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conduct or coordinate pre-employment checks; drug screening, background checks, aptitude tests, and other required eligibility verifications.
- Responsible for onboarding, new hire orientation and training.
- Assist in implementing, managing, and maintaining the HRIS and ATS systems.
- Respond to unemployment claims and research/prepare for DOL hearings.
- Review and approve all lower-level Corrective Action Plans before they are administered to employees.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Process termination/resignations, including exit interviews and offboarding steps.
- Benefits/insurance administration, including short and long-term disability and FMLA.
- Assist with the employee bonus and annual performance review tracking.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state statutes regarding HR functions.
- Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints.
- Work closely with the HR Director on implementing employee recognition programs and employee engagement activities.
- Responsible for updating the HR related tabs on the employee intranet.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Manage and track employee transfers and promotions, ensuring compliance with SOC-1, URAC, and other auditing entities.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- College Degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
- 3 years of progressive human resources generalist experience.
- HR certification or pursuit of certification, preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and ATS.
- Organized, attention to detail, multi-task and the ability to prioritize workload.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Professional demeanor and good rapport with employees at all job levels
