ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work with a school district near Hattiesburg, MS.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate Student Needs:
- Assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and other areas affecting their ability to learn and participate in school activities.
Create Individualized Plans:
- Develop personalized intervention plans, often as part of a student's Individualized Education Program (IEP), to address specific challenges and goals.
Provide Therapeutic Interventions:
- Use exercises, activities, and strategies to improve fine motor skills (like handwriting), visual-motor coordination, self-care tasks, and more.
Modify Classrooms:
- Recommend changes to the classroom environment, tools, or routines to better support students' needs such as adaptive seating, sensory breaks, or specialized learning materials.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Active Mississippi Occupational Therapy license.
