School-Based SLPA Haverhill, MA
ProCare Therapy is looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district in Haverhill, MA. This role focuses on supporting K-2 students with autism (ASD) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, ensuring they receive the speech and language support they need to thrive.
Position Details
- Location: Haverhill, MA
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: End of the school year
- Caseload:
- K-2 students
- Approximately 30 students
- Focus on ASD and AAC devices
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to deliver speech therapy services
- Assist students in using AAC devices to improve communication skills
- Implement therapy strategies for students with ASD
- Document student progress and collaborate with school staff and families
- Support teachers in integrating speech therapy techniques into the classroom
Qualifications
- Massachusetts SLPA license required
- Experience working with K-2 students, ASD, or AAC devices preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for helping young learners improve their communication
