Introduction : We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dedicated team at a school in the Lawrence area of Massachusetts. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities : As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide direct therapy services and assist in the implementation of treatment plans for students. Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Administering therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Assisting with assessments, evaluations, and screenings to help develop individualized intervention plans.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, behaviors, and responses to therapy sessions.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and effective communication strategies.
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing valuable insights regarding treatment goals and progression.
