Special Education Teacher - Lake Oswego, OR (2024-25 School Year)

ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Lake Oswego, OR. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs by providing high-quality educational experiences tailored to their individual abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet students' unique learning requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to ensure inclusive education practices.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
• Utilize technology and other resources to enhance learning opportunities for students with disabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid state teaching license with a certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
