We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Tuba City, AZ.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to work with students with varying disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and a strong commitment to supporting students in achieving their academic and social goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
• Modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student development.
• Employ a variety of teaching techniques and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid state Special Education Teaching License.
• Previous experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
• Strong understanding of various disabilities and special education laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
