Job Overview :
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to work with an elementary caseload in Key West, FL. This position involves providing individualized instruction, developing and implementing IEPs, and collaborating with staff and families to support student success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate students into inclusive classroom environments.
- Provide ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to ensure students meet their academic and behavioral goals.
- Communicate effectively with parents / guardians, support staff, and school administrators.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive, engaging learning environment.
