Job Summary:
The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and executing project plans to expand and enhance the Proceed Finance web application platform and to develop new products and/or services offered by Proceed Finance. This individual will be the designated point of contact for specific projects identified by the leadership team and will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication and efficient project execution to develop and maintain the project plan. This individual will regularly interact and collaborate with a team of software engineers as well as various stakeholders across the business to guide product strategy and decision making.
Essential Job Duties:
- Plan and manage the life cycle of the project including the development of deliverables and business objectives.
- Demonstrate commitment, accountability, and ownership of the project and serve as the project advocate.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project team members and resources.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing organizational priorities, and a mindfulness of the implications of decisions.
- Effectively lead multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maximize the value delivered by the team by aligning development with customer needs.
- Facilitate requirement gathering sessions and regular status meetings between the development team and key stakeholders to align expectations and address concerns.
- Gather customer feedback, understand user needs, and translate into actionable requirements for the development team.
- Manage complex projects while driving process improvements and automation efforts.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and outcomes.
- Proactively escalate and resolve issues as well as communicate mitigation plans to key stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and regulatory standards and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, managing multiple projects simultaneously across different departments.
- Strong risk management skills to identify potential challenges early in the project lifecycle.
- Excellent technical writing abilities for creating clear and concise documentation.
- Proven effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management across the organization.
- Experience with collaborating with agile teams including software engineers (developers, designers, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools like JIRA, Microsoft Project, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify potential issues, and make informed decisions.
- Passion for driving projects to completion while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Experience managing technology integrations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of project management with varying complexity.
- PMP certification, agile methodology experience, and/or experience in fintech and/or banking strongly preferred.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a standard office setting.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Hours of Work:
- A minimum of 40 hours per week
