Process and Data Automation seeking a Solutions Specialist to work within our MES group configuring software applications to meet our clients production needs. The product is a proprietary on premis software application geared towards improving effeciencies and order management of high-speed filling and packaging equipment. The individual filling this role should be detail oriented, client centric, and passionate about creating unique solitons to meet client needs.

Process and Data Automation is a full service, CSIA Certified industrial control systems integration firm servicing North America . Our Controls Engineering group specializes in physical automation system design, programming, and commissioning. Our dedicated Data Services Group connects automated equipment and systems to the business environment including protected recipe systems, data collection and reporting, and data historian implementation.
Job Summary / Objective / Role :
The Solutions Specialist Level 1 will be responsible for analyzing the needs of users and assisting project managers in the development of high-level custom programs. The Solutions Specialist Level 1 serves as a member of a cross-functional team and has responsibility to support and execute tasks on projects. This includes system architecture, system hardware, system configuration, programming, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of applications.
Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for supporting the design, integration, programming, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems, industrial and MES networks, and custom software-based automation applications to support productivity and / or quality improvements for our clients.
Requirements
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering discipline or have at least have 4 years of equivalent experience.
- Travel required
Essential Functions :
Server, PC, UPS, switch, NAS, redundancy, etc.
Gain a proven understanding of networking principles such as IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, VPN, Routing, etc.
Obtain proficiency with database development and database queries within SSMS or similar.

Competencies :
Physical Demands : Must possess ability to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to visit various client and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone. Finger dexterity needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard and to operate standard office equipment. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although prolonged standing and walking and the ability to climb ramps, stairs, and ladders may be required when traveling or on client site. May occasionally require the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 40 pounds or heavier weights with assistance and / or the use of proper equipment.
