What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Assembler position at Process Technology?
Description
Position reports to : Department Lead
Responsibilities :
Review and retrieve required inventory parts on schematics, drawings or work instructions.
Perform simple to complex assembly operations.
Test and inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
Report any deficiency to the Department Lead.
Follow department processes to ensure ISO compliance.
Possess some electrical and mechanical knowledge.
Ability to use small hand tools including but not limited to cutters, strippers, crimpers and screwdrivers.
Ability to use basic judgment in quality analysis and communicate with Department Lead any discrepancies.
Proactively seek opportunities to improve workplace environment and safety conditions.
Maintain clean, neat, safe and orderly work area.
Attend work regularly and promptly.
Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
Attend and participate in all required training.
Attend and participate in all departmental meetings.
Other essential duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Competencies
High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalence Certificate desired.
Possess basic math skills.
Knowledge of raw materials.
Understand production processes.
Understand production procedures and processes.
Understand the basics of electricity and mechanics.
Ability to use small hand tools.
Understand how to read diagrams.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Monitoring / Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
The ability to arrange items or actions in a certain order / pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
Follows safety policies and procedures, including personal protective equipment, reports potential hazards and near messes, maintains a neat and orderly work area, and proactively seeks opportunities to improve workplace environment, health, and / or safety conditions.
