POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for taking a leadership role in promoting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance on projects in the field.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
• Has the authority to stop and prevent unsafe actions, stop the use of unsafe equipment and tools, and stop work and/or have employees leave a work area.
• Implement company safety policies and continuously monitor the workplace for hazardous safety and health conditions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Have working experience with safety codes, OSHA, and MSHA.
• Ensure all employees have the appropriate safety and health training relative to their position and project.
• Participate in periodic pre-job safety meetings/walkdowns.
• Conduct pre-job safety analysis, and daily ToolBox talks throughout projects.
• Assess and improve engineering controls, ergonomics, administrative controls, and PPE on an on-going basis throughout projects.
• Complete the investigation of incidents and accidents, identify the root cause, and ensure that all accident reports are recorded in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
• Provide written post job safety reports.
• Participate in the development and implementation of processes, procedures, training, and programs for the field and shop operations.
• Has the ability to travel anywhere within the US on short notice.
• All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:
• Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
• Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.
• Access all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
• Will be working at times in covered environment, in an outside environment.
• The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Particles.
• The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
• Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed.
