Safety Compliance Coordinator

Required Experience: Computer Skills, Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience: Industrial Construction Project Support Experience

Required Education: GED or High School Diploma, OSHA 30
Preferred Education: OSHA 500 or 501, Associates degree in a business area

POSITION SUMMARY: Field Service Safety Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safety of all field personnel through proper training and compliance in accordance with state and federal regulations, company standards and planned project details.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

• Periodic Safety Training
• Verify and track safety training certifications of all field employees in platforms such as Paycom, GP, Domo, CrewConX, etc.
• Assign and set-up required site specific training through third-party platforms (TappiSafe, ISN, Abbottsfield, Avetta, etc.)
• Provide detailed instruction to all personnel performing field work, as to the following, based on SOW per project:

Safety standards, site-specific training, enhanced/special PPE requirements

• Annual Safety Training
• Evaluate needs of the Field Service Division
• Propose training plans and budgets
• Participate in conducting approved training
• Compliance
• Attend weekly Field Service Schedule meetings

Validate crew list assignment for compliance regarding safety requirements based on both company and client standards.

Provide detailed project information (Job Traveler Address, Supervisor and Mill contact information, scope of work, Crew comp., safety requirements, etc.) to the appropriate assigned field safety coordinator(s).
Order drug screens for project compliance on an as needed basis.
Immediately report all field related incidents (Near Miss, First Aid, Accident, Safety Violations, OSHA/MSHA Inspections, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Non-compliant Drug Screens, etc.) to the EHS Director
Attend weekly safety team meetings
Provide updates relating to recently completed, on-going, and upcoming projects (manpower counts, required training, enhanced/special PPE requirements, etc.).
Present incident case reviews.
Participate in establishing a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) per incident.
Work with the field service management and safety team identify potential hazards or concerns.
Participate in creating plans to proactively reduce or eliminate safety hazards/incidents.
Participate in creating and lessons learned registry and distributing communication relating to such to all field service leadership.
Provide and maintain continuous communication with the EHS Director relating to updates in reference to WC cases associated with the field service division.
Attend pre-outage meetings as assigned by the EHS Director
Maintain written notes for project files
Provide communication to the Safety, Field Service, and Purchasing team as to requirements and special needs
Update and/or create safety forms at the directors request
Provide JSA stats
Third Party Vetting Platforms
Work directly with the Safety Administrator (SA) to ensure compliance across all third-party platforms
Answer questions and provide documentation as requested by the SA (all submissions into platforms to be completed by the SA)
Track the following documentation on a per project basis (Pre-Task Assessment Daily JSAs, ToolBox Talks, Confined Space documentation, Mobile Equipment Inspections, etc.)
Audits
Gas Detection Monitors
Calibrate and maintain written logs
Tool and Safety equipment
Perform periodic safety inspections of trucks/trailers prior to or when returning from projects, to ensure color codes are up to date

Must be skilled in MS Office
Must be familiar with Field Construction software
Must be familiar with ERP software
Must be proficient at data entry and record keeping
Must be able to work well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workers.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
Must be able to make logical decisions that are unbiased, but rather factual based.
Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job

Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:
Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
The employee will be primarily in an office environment but may be required to be in a field setting 10% of the time, as approved by the EHS Director.
Wearing respiratory protection, working at heights and within extreme climate conditions.
The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing, and sitting.
