Key Responsibilities
Ensure full compliance with CAA / EASA Part 145 regulations and proactively monitor regulatory updates.
Develop and implement the Part 145 audit programme.
Conduct scheduled Safety and Compliance Audits as outlined in the audit plan.
Perform unplanned quality audits as requested by the Accountable Manager or Nominated Post Holders.
Manage root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures to ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Oversee the management of the Part 145 certifying staff authorisation system.
Prepare and submit MOE revisions, including Form 3 submissions, to regulatory bodies.
Maintain and manage all CAA / EASA forms, ensuring accurate numbering and revision tracking.
Supervise and support the welfare of staff in the Part 145 Department at all STS UK locations.
Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements within the Part 145 Department.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the STS SMS Programme with CAA / EASA.
Qualifications & Experience
Comprehensive knowledge of CAA / EASA Part 145 and practical application.
Previous experience as an aviation auditor.
Familiarity with AS9110 requirements and standards.
Completed formal aviation technical training.
Current certifications in Human Factors (HF) , Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) , and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) .
Proven experience as an investigator within an aviation environment.
Eligible to obtain UK airside security passes (per DFT regulations).
A full, clean UK Driving Licence and valid passport for domestic and international travel.
Previous experience in aircraft maintenance environments.
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understanding of Part 21 Subpart G Production activities.
Role Details
Location : Birmingham Hangar (40 hours per week).
Travel : Occasional travel within the UK and abroad is required.
