Position Summary :
Procom is seeking an experienced Process Metallurgist for a full-time role in North East, PA. This position will focus on analyzing the impact of processing and chemical variations in materials while leveraging statistical methods to drive continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze and interpret customer material specifications to ensure compliance
- Participate in inquiry and order review processes
- Develop material specifications for forging applications based on purchase orders
- Create internal and supplier work instructions aligned with customer requirements
- Provide technical guidance to Production, Sales, and Operations teams
- Lead product and process development initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency
- Investigate customer claims, compiling findings in written reports and presentations
- Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical test failures and internal non-conformances
- Oversee and analyze mechanical and metallurgical testing activities
- Perform failure analysis on mill components and production parts
