Job Overview:
- The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting NJ Transit's technology initiatives. This individual will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyze existing processes, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Business Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders, including business users, subject matter experts, and IT teams.
- Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design and develop solutions that meet business requirements and align with organizational goals.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making.
- Project Management: Assist project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure successful delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and solution designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN).
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is preferred.
- Experience working in the transportation industry is a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
