Associate Researcher / Researcher - 1 TPT Functional Fibers
The objective of this intern project is to accelerate the identification of skin anti-aging materials which target specific mechanisms linked to aging. The intern project will consist to two elements: The intern will help identify biomarkers of aging cells in aging human skin, employing several molecular methods. In addition, the intern will leverage in vitro cell culture methods to evaluate potential anti-aging materials and learn the basics of high throughput screening.
We are looking for an Associate Researcher or Researcher to join the 1TPT (Transformative Platform Technologies) Organization in the Where to Play area of Functional Fibers (FF). 1TPT's mission is to accelerate P&G's growth (contributing 1% NOS year on year) through constructive disruption enabled by emerging technology solutions through our BU-partnered and disruptive portfolios. The Functional Fibers technology platform for P&G is poised to transform the industry solving the trade-off between performance and sustainability. The team is innovating on new and existing JTBD in the Home and Personal Care categories. The FF department is responsible for running the EC30 Brand Transactional Learning Experience (TLE), the first multi-category brand to sell FF products DTC for the company.
This role will lead the procedural aspects of products research work for the EC30 brand including coordination and placement of consumer usage tests for claims support, conducting and analyzing consumer surveys, setting up and conducting in person research, and method development. Experience with claims support, product test method development, and qualitative research skills are desired but not must have.
Qualifications
Leadership: Candidate should be able to understand priorities of project and testing needs and apply the right effort to address the priorities, with an ability to understand and link technology and technical measures. Able to engage manager/coach on key method/technical questions and/or problems.
Execute with Excellence - Candidate should be disciplined with high attention-to-detail to be able to deliver with excellence on the design and execution of the technical work needed.
Technical Curiosity - Candidate should have an intertest in scientific experimentation and be interested in spending appropriate time running experimental studies and seeking to interpret/understand the results. Previous Products Research experience is a plus but not required.
Operates with Discipline - Candidate must have a strong sense of urgency and bias towards action to prepare, place, and analyze studies on project timelines.
Collaboration - Candidate should be able to effectively build collaborative relationships within R&D.
Embraces Change/Agility - Candidate should be able to handle multiple priorities and be able to adapt to changing needs of the business/project. Flow to the work mentality is a must.
Job Skills (expected to build)
Experience with placing consumer usage tests including getting GPS approvals, documenting in Nexus etc.
Programming of surveys (AYTM)
Analysis of quantitative data (Excel, JMP)
Basic stats understanding (for PR)
