The Data Solutions & Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing data and conducting financial analysis to support business decision-making. This role involves developing and implementing data solutions, analyzing financial data, and ensuring data integrity.

Position Summary
The Data Solutions & Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing data and conducting financial analysis to support business decision-making. This role involves developing and implementing data solutions, analyzing financial data, and ensuring data integrity.
Data Management
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data lakes to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Utilize AI tools to analyze complex datasets, generate insights, and automate decision-making processes
- Design and deploy automation solutions to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance productivity. Monitor and maintain automated systems to ensure they operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensure data quality through validation, testing, and cleaning processes
- Ensure all policy information is complete and correctly filed according to state regulations
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation via data support
- Analyze certain remittance reports to identify anomalies and areas for efficiency and improvement in reporting
- Perform various data reconciliations and adjustment analysis
- Generate detailed reports and visualizations to support data-driven decision-making
- Support month-end closing processes via data analytics
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures or historical data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Proficiency in managing and organizing large datasets
- Ability to analyze financial data and generate insights
- Strong understanding of automation tools such as writing macros
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Capability to see the "big picture" and identify the steps needed to achieve goals
- Consistent, reliable, and detail-oriented

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or a related field.
- Entry level position but any prior experience in data management, financial analysis, and automation preferred.
- Proficiency in data automation tools (e.g., PowerQuery, PowerAutomate, Sharepoint, PowerBI) and accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially excel
- A “get the job done” focus within tight deadlines which could include weekends on the quarter close cycles.
