Overview:This position requires critical thinking skills to efficiently utilize existing technology in supporting the business as well as researching alternative solutions.
- Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of financial accounting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS), financial reporting techniques, and internal control procedures. Candidates will be supporting both domestic and international financial teams such as AR, AP, Payroll, Treasury management.
- Evaluate user requests for new or modified applications to determine feasibility, costs, time required, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities.
- Develop Subject Matter Experts in supported business functions.
- Lead conversations to evaluate and suggest IT solutions for business challenges within the ERP system or other tools.
- Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
- Assists and works with internal customers as well as software vendors.
- Continually analyze the current financial applications process and identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and automation.
- Lead requirements gathering process for finance related initiatives. Capture requirements and technical specifications in an Agile methodology leveraging Microsoft DevOps
- Evaluate and suggest IT solutions for business challenges within the ERP system or other tools.
- Collaborate with broader IT team to implement solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues and problems, including Service Desk tickets.
- Stay abreast of new JDE features and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Drive for standardization across business processes.
- Lead team of IT Finance Analyst to support the business and initiatives
- Provides reference for users by assisting in the development of user documentation; providing service desk support; training users.
- Maintain documentation from a process and technology lens.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree preferred in computer science, information systems, accounting, business economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Three to five years of experience as a Business analyst or a similar role, preferably in financial/treasury applications.
- Experience gathering IT requirements from business users
- Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Solid understanding of accounting and treasury processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in ERP system concepts in Order to Cash and Finance disciplines
Desired:
- Ten years of experience as an IT Financial Business analyst or a similar role, preferably in financial/treasury applications.
- Intensive work on Oracle EnterpriseOne (JDE) financial modules or experience with other financial ERP packages including configuration and implementation
- Experience in Finance ERP integrations to external tools such as Bottomline, Concur, Trintech, Billtrust, Prisma, banking software, EDI etc
- Basic understanding of SQL and reporting tools such as PowerBI, ReportsNow for data extraction and analysis.
