What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Support Specialist position at Producers Livestock?
SCOPE OF JOB:
As a member of the Credit Department team, you will assist with the administration and servicing of loans. Strong customer service and communication skills are necessary as there will be daily contact with customers, other lending institutions, feedlots and livestock production vendors. Versatility and the ability to adapt to challenging situations are necessary as you will be assisting multiple lending staff members. This position is salaried and requires a minimum of a 40 hour work week and will be located at the PLMA office in Omaha, Nebraska.
JOB DUTIES, TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include:
· Gather and verify credit information through lien searches and credit bureau reports
· Prepare loan documents, security documents and lien documents in multiple states
· Assist in maintaining the daily tickler to verify head count inventories
· Prepare monthly loan statements and mail to customers
· Identify and appropriately file paid off loans on a monthly basis
· Setup new Payment Plus savings accounts as necessary
· Request check endorsements from banks to ensure the timely processing of payments
· Maintain the brand book and order branding irons as requested
· Assist team members in entering multiple types of loan transactions
· Correctly code price protection fees as well as profits and losses to be applied to customer loans
· Accurately enter balance sheets, financials and taxes into the Country Banker system
· Contribute any necessary daily check-off help to ensure accuracy of loan transactions
· Process and distribute any received mail as well as help prepare daily outgoing mail
· Assure all loan files are complete, accurate and in compliance with policy
· Correspond with clients to maintain current client information profile
· Provide excellent customer service to all clients
· Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
· Perform other duties as assigned and capable
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and willingness to learn other programs involved in the loan documentation process
· Knowledge of administration and servicing requirements of lending documents
· Strong problem solving skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
· Ability to work well with other staff members and clients
· Knowledge of livestock and agricultural business practices is a plus but not required
· Prior experience with Great Plains, Smart Sign or Compliance One lending software is a plus but not required
EDUCATION
Minimum of a high school diploma or degree in higher education with additional coursework in accounting, credit administration or business software considered. Candidates with equivalent work experience may also be considered.
EXPERIENCE
Three to five years of previous experience in credit administration is preferred but may be waived depending upon the qualifications of the applicant.
Producers Livestock Marketing Association has an immediate full-time opening in our Credit Department. Primary duties include assisting the Credit Department with the administration and servicing of loans. Strong communication skills, accuracy and a working knowledge of Excel and Word are necessary. Three to five years of experience in loan document preparation, verifying credit information and filing security documents is encouraged, but applicants with similar proven work experience may also be considered. Knowledge of the livestock industry and agricultural business is a plus but not required.
