Material Specialist
Waterloo, IA - Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Waterloo, Iowa. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan and schedule simple (fewer capacity constraints, fewer work centers, fewer processes, lower change over complexity) manufacturing processes of all current production and service parts. Schedule requirements for material with regard to the Deere Production System including kanbans/triggers, delivery, and achievement of the production schedule. May develop line sequencing of options. May provide work direction.
Duties:
- Schedule production parts.
- Schedule service parts.
- Expedite production and purchased parts.
- Coordinate needed parts from other John Deere departments.
- Coordinate and communicate the implementation of engineering and material changes.
- Assist the production department in manpower planning.
- Perform general administrative duties as needed to meet administrative support needs.
- Assist in coordinating the department's inventory integrity and accuracy, including production and scrap reporting.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree in any business-related field.
- Must be willing to work off-shift hours if need, but position is primarily 1st shift.
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
- No gaps in employment history.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
