Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Stoughton, WI. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a skilled Mechanical Technician II. This hands-on role requires a solid understanding of CAD/CAM systems and experience in continuous improvement processes. The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree and be eager to apply their technical knowledge to optimize mechanical systems and contribute to overall production efficiency. This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to design, modify, and optimize mechanical components and systems for production processes.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions for mechanical system challenges, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient manufacturing workflows.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization, reducing downtime, and improving system performance.
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery in a production environment.
- Assist in the installation and assembly of mechanical systems and components, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately implement modifications or repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing mechanical tasks.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, modifications, and improvements to systems.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for design and system optimization.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and experience applying them to manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.
Preferred:
- Experience working with automated or robotic systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or other process optimization methodologies.
- Prior experience in a mechanical technician or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
