Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Products Unlimited, Inc. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational efficiency of our manufacturing plants in Omaha. The Maintenance Manager will oversee maintenance activities, ensuring that equipment runs smoothly and safely while contributing to our commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all maintenance mechanics and machine cleaners.
Additional Expectations: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to read, write and speak English competently.
· High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting as a maintenane manager.
- Lead OSHA safety programs.
- Coordinates shift changeovers with Maintenance staff.
- Partners with Management team to maintain a robust Preventative Maintenance program and tailor it to current production and machinery conditions.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by ensuring completion of preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Communicates such needs to Plant Manager.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensures that staff observes all safety requirements of the job including, but not limited to, Lockout Tagout and Machine Guarding, proper use of PPE, etc. Maintains an awareness of OSHA guidelines.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results.
