JOB TITLE: Business Systems Analyst FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Director of Information Technology
General Summary: As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll be the bridge between business teams and technical teams translating goals into actionable plans. Your focus is on improving processes, configuring systems, and delivering value that boosts the company’s bottom line. This role involves collaborating, problem-solving, and staying a step ahead of what the organization needs next.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering
- Partners with stakeholders (finance, sales, transportation, and more) to understand project goals
- Facilitates workshops or one-on-ones to elicit requirements and capture user stories.
2. Process Analysis & Design
- Map out existing business processes, spot inefficiencies, and propose better solutions.
- Recommends the best-fit approach—whether it’s building fresh features or adapting existing technologies.
3. Translation & Documentation
- Converts high-level business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Creates project documentation that’s crystal clear for both technical teams and business folks.
4. System Configuration & Implementation
- Works hands-on or closely with development teams to configure or build software solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to test new functionalities and ensure top-notch quality.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Maintains constant communication with developers and stakeholders.
- Provides timely updates on project status, risks, and dependencies to keep everyone aligned.
6. Training & Rollout
- Develops training materials, user guides, and quick-start resources.
- Lead training sessions to get end-users comfortable with new features or platforms.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Gather feedback post-implementation and refine solutions for maximum efficiency.
- Proactively watch for new tools or technologies to help the business run even smoother.
7. Project Management
- Coordinate project tasks, timelines, and resources to ensure deliverables meet scope and quality standards.
- Track and manage project schedules, and dependencies.
- Identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on track and on budget.
Other:
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Technical familiarity with various software platforms (CRM, ERP, or custom solutions).
- General understanding of SQL and relational databases—enough to handle data queries, manipulations, and relationships.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills—both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical mindset for solving complex problems and crunching data.
- Ability to constructively collaborate with various individuals with a variety of personalities.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Ability to work independently while possessing time management skills.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 10-15 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Working Conditions: Standard office setting. In-office.

This position is expected to pay between $90K – 110K annualized depending on applicable experience and location.
