We're seeking a Survey Research Manager to oversee program evaluation and statewide survey projects that inform and improve public health programs. As the Survey Research Manager, you will lead the end-to-end management of our survey processes. This includes directing our statewide surveillance efforts, refining survey protocols, managing a team of interviewers, and driving performance improvements. You’ll have a hands-on role in both leadership and execution, ensuring the highest quality data collection across projects.
This is a full-time position (32 to 40 hours per week) with competitive compensation and excellent benefits. We welcome applicants from anywhere in the U.S., with the option to work remotely or from our Minneapolis office.
Leadership & Operations
• Oversee the successful execution of rolling program evaluation survey studies and statewide surveillance, ensuring high-quality performance and efficiency.
• Manage and coach a small team of part-time remote telephone interviewers and subcontractors.
• Develop and document survey protocols, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance survey operations and outcomes.
Survey Execution
• Serve as a working manager, completing 3-5 telephone interviewing shifts per week (shift lengths vary from 2 to 5 hours).
• Manage survey logistics, including recruitment materials, participant mailings, and tracking systems.
• Monitor and report on survey metrics (e.g., response rates, quality control measures) and use data to drive improvements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure data collection meets project goals.
• Assist with the configuration and administration of online surveys.
• 4 years of experience managing complex data collection or survey research projects.
• Hands-on experience conducting telephone surveys and data collection.
• Proven success in leading teams or managing subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of survey research best practices and quality control processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience analyzing metrics and using data to optimize processes.
• Experience leading statewide or national surveillance studies.
• Proficiency with Forsta or similar enterprise-level CATI systems.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience developing and refining operational documentation.
