Seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager of Commercial Construction who will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding the company’s client base.
This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and enhancing the company's market position within the commercial construction sector across the greater Denver area.
Pay: Salary Commission (~$200K OTE) Bonus

Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research to identify new business opportunities and market trends within the construction industry.
- Analyze competitor activities and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the company’s services, market position, and competitive landscape.
Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve growth targets and expand the company's market presence.
- Create and execute action plans for acquiring new clients and managing key accounts.
- Collaborate with senior management to align business development initiatives with overall company goals.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and engage with potential clients, including general contractors, property developers, and project managers.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Drive the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Develop and track sales targets and performance metrics.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet or exceed revenue goals.
Networking and Industry Engagement:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Build and maintain a network of industry contacts and potential business partners.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market demands.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, project management, and finance, to support business development efforts.
- Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, opportunities, and results to senior management.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of (10) years experience in Commercial construction & (5 ) years of experience in business development or sales within the commercial construction industry.
- Proven track record of successful client acquisition and revenue growth in the commercial construction sector (ideally within healthcare, education, aviation, federal, industrial, etc.)
- Strong understanding of commercial construction industry dynamics, trends, and challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be local to the greater Denver area.
- Willing to submit to background check and drug screen.
