The Director is accountable for tango’s national payer client relationships and strategic partnerships. This role will ensure tango achieves financial, operational, and clinical performance contemplated by the partnership, and will focus on optimizing the client’s experience and satisfaction. The position serves as the client advocate and is responsible for making sure their needs are heard, understood, prioritized, and consistently met, while also championing internal initiatives to drive mutual success and long-term partnership growth.

Responsibilities:
- Support new client implementations and provide project leadership to make sure the onboarding process is efficient, risk-controlled, and is a positive experience
- Understand clients’ business objectives, challenges, and needs and proactively identify opportunities to align tango’s services and solutions to add value and address concerns
- Develop and implement an annual strategic account plan aligned with clearly defined goals and objectives
- Build and nurture client relationships to enhance loyalty and retention
- Lead cross-functional teams within tango to deliver on client commitments, coordinating efforts across Operations, Clinical, Network, and IT
- Monitor key financial, operational, clinical, and quality metrics and track progress against established goals and targets
- Conduct regular Joint Operating Committee (JOC) client meetings and facilitate client presentations that include performance results, industry trends, and innovation
- Collect client data such as annual membership projections for tango’s annual planning process
- Negotiate client rate adjustments and partnership extensions
- Anticipate and mitigate risks to client relationships, proactively resolving issues and escalations in a timely manner to preserve trust and confidence
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics impacting healthcare and tango’s clients Collaborate with Sales and other internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services to clients, driving revenue growth while maximizing profitability
- Represent tango at industry conferences, events, and meetings with external stakeholders, showcasing tango’s capabilities and thought leadership to strengthen and grow client partnerships
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus
- 5 years of experience as an Account Manager, Relationship Manager, or Client Executive, successfully managing client partnerships in excess of $25M in revenue
- Extensive understanding of managed care principles, healthcare financing, value-based models, home health, and Medicare / Medicaid products
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, including c-suite executives
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute on long-term account plans, driving sustainable growth and value creation
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience leading cross-functional teams, and influencing stakeholders across all levels
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to inform decision making
- Customer focused mindset with commitment to delivering exceptional service and exceeding client expectations
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
